The Mayville-Portland trail system is a 90 mile loop located in the east part of North Dakota. There is an extension off of the main trail to Hillsboro which is a 15 mile loop which comes back onto the main trail. Towns located on the trail are Portland, Mayville, Hillsboro, Cummings, Buxton, Reynolds, and Hatton. The Mayville-Portland trail system connects to the Red River South trail association at Reynolds. A warming shelter is located in the woods between Hatton and Portland. The trail also connects to the Cattail Trail Association.
