The trail system is centered on the city of Devils Lake of Ramsey County in the northeast part of the state. The 240 miles of trails have been judged as the most diversified riding in the state. A day of riding may include tight twisting trails, wide open lake runs and long straight sections of country road ditches. All trails are signed and are groomed weekly if snow conditions allow. Heated and lighted warming houses are located in strategic points on the trail system. Communities served by Lake Region trails are Penn, Webster, Starkweather, Hampden, Edmore, Nekoma, Doyon, Crary, Devils Lake, Lakota, and Brocket.
